A Guide to RainWings
Description
RainWing Dragons make their Treehouses out of vines, berries, branches, bark, flowers, furs, etc. They entwine these supplies on trees to make Huts and Houses and Sun Time platforms. The Sun Time platforms are built near the treetops so the Dragons sleeping on them get plenty of sun. Queen Glory gets first choice of platform, then her children, then Dragons with important roles, then adult dragons, and last are dragonets below the age of ten. Huts are used by healers and Dragons the age of eighty and over. Huts usually have berries growing inside and outside of them because healers use such berries to heal wounded and ill Dragons. Up to three or four Dragons can live in a House, usually when a male dragons marries, the female moves in and they build a Hatchery that can contain up to four eggs at a time. The Royal Hatchery is built to contain eight or nine, or even ten eggs at a time. Houses with couples living in them are traditionally decorated with Lilies, Lotuses, white and Viogenta flowers such as Bromeliad and feathers of colourful birds. The Queen's Treehouse is bigger than the others, and mostly blue and purple flowers are entwined, such as Bluebells and Hydrangea.
The Dragons themselves are decorated too, wearing garlands and bracelets of all sorts of flowers to match their natural scale colour. For example, Queen Glory is naturally blue and orange, so she wears Bluebells, Hydrangea and Poppies.
RainWing Dragon's scales change colour according to their moods.

RainWing Dragon's scales change colour according to their moods.
- pink-happy
- yellow-excited
- red-angry
- purple or violet-embarressed or guilty
- green-frightened or sick
- indigo- pride
- orange- curious
- white- pain
RainWings name their children according to their natural scale colour, and the shade of it. Queen Glory's natural scales are royal blue and fiery orange, so her parents named her Glory. RainWing names ususally have something to do with their looks and rainforest plants, fruit and animals.
For Example- Magnificent, Orchid, Papaya, and Kinkajou.
RainWing females lay their eggs in the Family Hatchery, witch is usually near where she sleeps. A non-royal female can lay up to four eggs at a time. When the egg or eggs hatch, the mother nurses it(or them) for a year, before the Dragonet or Dragonets start their training. They are taught to fly, swing, shoot venom, and how to identify all the different kind of life in the rainforest.
RainWing Dragons have ranks.
For Example- The oldest Princess doesn't otomatically get the right to challenge the Queen first, The prettiest one does. To RainWings, looks are as important as strength and ability. RainWings decide ranks with the Dragon's looks. Healers are usually the Dragons who aren't as vibrant in colour, Teachers are Dragons whose scales aren't as reactive to the Dragons's moods. Cheif Advisors, Games Announcers, Gardeners, and Dragons who are permitted to enter the Queen's Treehouse are Dragons who have bright and reactive scales. Scent is important too, if a Dragon doesn't smell as good, they're usually placed as assistants to Healers, Teachers and Gardeners.
