It was Mattie who spotted them first. It was Heidi who sounded the alarm. It was Sammie who ran inside first. But it was Mattie who spotted them first. 

At first dark specks in the bluish horizon. Isabella Garland kept watching those dark specks as the children were hustled inside by Miss Rudd and Miss Budd. She watched as the dark specks slowly transformed into a faint, fuzzy swarm, barely audible over the light of the early morning sun. 

Isabella Garland kept watching that faint, fuzzy swarm as she and and the large handful of children whose parents could afford to have them protected were seated in the Library, the only place in the village that was immune to the lurking danger. She watched as that faint, fuzzy swarm transformed into thousands of little, thin lines, moving at both ends.

Isabella Garland kept watching those little, thin lines as she and her group of friends grabbed blankets to cover themselves. She watched as those little, thin lines kept multiplying and multiplying until the whole of the Eastern sky was alive with activity. 

Isabella Garland kept watching those multiplying figures as their multi-coloured scales glinted in the sunlight, the shapes became more clear, and millions of blood-curdling screeches were heard. 

Isabella Garland kept watching those screeching, scale-covered animals as they finally became close enough to block out the sun, and they became clear at last. She watched as they began to swoop, their huge, leathery wings catching the breeze. And she watched as their huge, silver, glinting talons began to snatch up screaming victims from the streets and the ruins. 

Isabella watched as hundreds of innocent people died because of what she had done.

Francine looked at me like what I had just said didn't bother her at all. ''Bella, how long have we been friends?'' She asked me, coming to sit beside me. I thought fora moment before answering, ''5 and a half years, since Kindergarten.'' 

Francine nodded, ''and how many time have you, Isabella Griffin, failed at magic?'' 

I smiled at my bestie, ''Your right. Test me!'' I exclaimed excitedly. I got up and handed Francine the test papers. 

''Uhh, okay, the first one is Hethtay.'' She looked back up at me.

After I told Merlin that I was from the future, he lead me to see Arthur. 

When he asked me why I was here, I answered with, ''My Lord, I was driven from my shelter in the forest by a team of bandits, they stole nearly all my items. I figured I'de seek refuge here in Camelot, since it was the closest city. I ask you now to provide me a bed for the night, before I continue on my journey.'' 

Arthur nodded thoughtfully, before flicking his hand, signalling to the guards. ''Very well, you may have as you wish. I'll ask Merlin to give you a tour of the grounds.'' 

I smiled gratefully and curtsied, ''Thank you, my Lord.'' And followed Merlin to the training grounds.

First he showed me all the nights, Percival, Leon, Eliot, Gwaine and......... Lancelot!!!! SQUEEE!!!!!

I couldn't take my eyes off him as Merlin introduced me to the others. I didn't need to, anyway, I knew all of them already. 

I ask if I could watch them train, they agreed without question. 

I sat with Merlin on a nearby boulder. They were put into pairs when Arthur arrived. Percival with Leon, Eliot with Gwaine, and Lancelot with Arthur.

10 year old Delilah Griffin's grade 5 class was going on a field trip. A field trip to King's Lake, in Ontario, Canada. 

It's not like we visit Ontario and go to Lake Superior or anything, we just go to a tiny random lake. Sure! That's not disappointing! Delilah thought irritably. Her class had just gotten off the bus, and was now trudging in the early morning grass, witch was covered in dew. 

One of Delilah's sketchers had an actual puddle in it. Good thing I don't wear socks. 

Once they got to the lake, they would split into groups of girls and boys. The boys would go down to the shore and look for crabs and things, and the girls would take a boat to the apposite shore and do that. Then they would meet up at the island in the middle of the lake with a big crumbly tower thing on it. 

''Hey, Lila!'' Delilah turned around to see Mallory Jones running to catch up with her. ''Yes, Mali?'' asked Delilah, preparing for on of Mali's super-long lectures. 

''Did you know that King's Lake is supposed to be the grave of King Arthur? Isn't that exciting? Oh, do you know who King Arthur is? He's this really famous ancient king who had  Merlin as a servant and Guinevere as a queen and he was only king for like 4 years but he changed the entire world! He had MERLIN as a servant, Lila! MERLIN, as in EMRYS? WITCH MEANS IMMORTAL?'' 

Delilah let out the breath she'd been saving a all slow-like, still staring at Mali. It sounded like, ''WHOOOOOOOGH''

In Western China, there is a constant haze over Red Mountain called the Red Clouds of the West. The haze is so thick, it's impossible for any plane or aircraft to get through, so the other side the Red Clouds of the West continue to be a mystery. 

Some say Queen Maelae of the kitsunes' palace is up there, and she created the clouds to protect her star-ball, a magical orb that contains the kitsune's power. 

According to legend, there are ten Kitsunes living above the Red Clouds of the West, and ten Kitsunes living under the Dead Stone Valley Forest.

World Of The Kitsune

PROLOGUE

It was a stormy night in the Stone Valley. The wind whipped and tore at the firs, sending bits of freckled bark to clatter on the large boulders that had won the valley its name. spurts of rain left the crumbly earth damp, in the chaos of the blundering trees and the loud rustling of the sorrel clumps(this noise is familiar to everyone), a  single bolt of lightning struck the top of a tree exactly, and a common but uncommon sight was to be seen. The trunk, weakened by the sudden flare of power shooting threw it, cracked and splintered, then fell with a loud groaning sound that echoed through the sky. The impact caused a strong with to carry from the tree throughout the forest, and so the fire on the tree travelled onto the rest of the unlucky forest, and so the Stone Valley Forest was destroyed. But what no one caught was the lone kitsune, her seven tails waving wildly in the torrent, with an expression on that can only be drescribed as pleased

Maelae - silvery blue long hair that surrounds her face, eight tails that are white at the tips and light purplish-blue at the bottom, wears black chinese dress with red sashes rimmed with a thin line of gold at the ends of the dress, around her waist and across her chest, also wears a necklace made of red thread, holding three small jades, and pink roses on her ears with more red thread hanging down, has glowing red eyes and can be found atop her perch above the Red Clouds of the West, keeps her star-ball with her at all times.

Quin - black hair that goes down to her waist, has nine tails, wears shiny grey sailor's suit and hat, and black heels with straps across the middle of her foot, has enchanting golden eyes, and can be found near harbours, is quite lazy about where she puts her star-ball.

Princess Finna - long, black hair that she puts bubbles in, wears golden crown, black tights, short red dress with large ribbon attached, and transparent silken scarf with white and yellow flowers sewn on it. 

Evanae - long, light purple hair, seven tails, wears a plain white dress with a blood red cloth tied to her waist with a large bow, also wears white ankle-socks, can be found in the Great Cherry Orchard with her panda companion, Muzo, loves to paint, keeps her star-ball hidden in the Tall Tree.

Karlai - beautiful purple shoulder-length hair, has ten tails, wears a bright purple robe with golden lotuses outlined in the silk, has pinkish red glowing eyes, wears her star-ball tied around her wrist with magical red silk.

Cinderpelt

Cinderpaw froze as glaring lights blinded her. A terrible screeching sound echoed across the unnatural path, and the small grey apprentice's legs buckled as the ground rumbled.

A choking scent filled her mouth as hot air blew her fur in random directions, and the screeching sound overwhelmed her ears. 

Then it happened, a terrible pain crackled in her left hind leg, so that it felt as if it would burst open. 

For the split second after that, time seemed to slow down as the pain seared across her body. And then there was darkness

Cinderpaw was in complete darkness, and the pain in her leg was no more. Gradually, a soft light formed in front of her, and three tiny shapes became visible. 

When Cinderpaw could finally see the blurry shapes clearly, she found they were kits. Three kits, smiling, standing in a row

As Cinderpaw gazed at them, an invisible sense began to draw her towards them. But she found she couldn't move her legs.

In the next instant, a fierce happiness bubbled in her chest as she stared at the kits in awe. 

And then she knew. She knew that these were her kits.

The first one had the same grey fur as her, and had piercing green eyes that glittered, so that they closely resembles dappled sunshine glowing through leaves. 

The next kit had fiery orange fur, that flickered and molted like real flames, he had soft blue eyes filled with determination.

The last was a beautiful calico that seemed to shine, and she had grey rimming her deep blue eyes that swam with different shades of blue. 

Daykit. Emberkit. Lakekit. 

The names echoed in her head. 

Then the kits began to fade, until they were nothing more than twinkling shadows.

The next day, Cinderpaw lay in the Medicine Den, her leg throbbing with pain. 

As she drifted to sleep, she saw Daykit, Emberkit and Lakekit again, only this time they were full grown. 

Daykit sat and sorted herbs. Daylight. The name echoed in her head. Emberkit stood on a high ledge, his head held up with authority. Emberstar. Lakekit lay beside Emberstar with two kits of her own huddled by her belly. Lakespots. 

I'm sorry, my precious kits, I'm sorry that you will never exist. It's my fault. Please forgive me.

Prologue 

You all know of the four Clans, ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan and RiverClan, but you know not of the Tunnel-Chasers. 

The Tunnel-Chasers were the ones who, hundreds upon hundreds of moons ago, forged the Tunnels under ThunderClan and WindClan territory. 

Rock, the blind, furless cat that watchers over the Tunnels even before Fallen Leaves, was once a Tunnel-Chaser named Great Cloud, but he committed crimes, and Far Seer, the oldest and wisest of the Tunnel-Chasers, condemned him to an endless life of shadows and stone, until the waves of the Lake washed the ancient rocks away. Then, and only then, could Rock finally regain his name and place among his Group-Mates in the stars. 

The Tunnel-Chaser had a strict line of rules, and, well, you've seen how far they'l go to make sure no one will ever break them.
