INTRODUCTION

In the year 2159, a great solar flare, known as the Burning, hit Earth, knocking out 70% of the planet's population. Humanity suddenly found itself struggling for life in the aftershock of the flare. In the years to come, many would die of starvation, radioactive poisoning, or being devoured by the beasts that the flare contaminated. The surviving 3,000 people set to work immediately, building a 5,00 mile wall, 100 meters tall. They named it Wall Athena, after the goddess of warfare and practicality. Many, many years later, humanity had completely populated the inside of Wall Athena, and Wall Hera, which they had built a few years earlier. They had developed a system, that all children above the age of 12 would enter the army, joining either the Scout Regiment, Defense Army, or Military Police.
