Bramblestar lept up upon Highrock to call the honorary Meeting Of Mates, which occured every season, in which all the warriors without mates would line up, toms on the left, she-cats on the right, the leader would call a tom's name and he would choose his mate. 

Bramblestar ran through the 5 Laws in his head; 

Law 1. The oldest tom will Choose first, the youngest tom last. 

Law 2. The tom will preform the traditional ceremony words and actions 

Law 3. the she-cat may deny a request, but will be treated as the lowest rank until the next Meeting, where she will be given another chance. If she denies three times, she will be killed. 

Law 4. If a mate dies, the widow may take part in the next Meeting, if not, they will receive the same conditions as shown in Law 3 

Law 5. The couple must have at least two litters within the season cycle; only cats who have had three litters or more may be named deputy
