The Tarkheena Rebekah

In the City of Tashbaan in Calormen, we have read about the adventures of Aravis and Shasta, and of their two talking horses, Hwin and Bree.

And we have met the Tarkheena Lasaraleen, the chatty, fashionable 'friend' of Aravis. And we have heard of her husband, the unknown Tarkaan.

But in this story, you will read about the Tarkheena Lasaraleen's daughter, who is also the Prince Rabadash's daughter, because Lasaraleen's previous husband had died on his travels.

This daughter is the Tarkheena Rebekah

In the City of Tashbaan in Calormen, the morning gong sounded. The Tarkheena Rebekah watched from her balcony as the gates opened, and as the usual crowd of people flooded in.

The Palace Gardens were in full bloom, for it was spring in Calormen, and the great stone wall was entwined, stone by stone, in vines.

Rebekah's balcony, too, was filled with colour and life.
